Departure

Kathmandu

Is there any trek that takes you to the heart of the Himalayas? Yes, it is the once-in-a-lifetime trek to the feet of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest. The highest peak of the world, the trail where tales of climbers and Sherpas lie in every corner, the out worldly landscapes of Gokyo lakes make this trek epic. It is a bucket list trek for all enthusiasts around the world, where every day is a spectacle to behold once you get on that airplane to Lukla.
Most of the trek is through the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Sagarmatha is the Nepali name for Everest) and a refuge for musk deer, snow leopard, Himalayan tahr, black bear, and many spectacular types of iridescent pheasant. The journey to Everest Base Camp starts from Kathmandu from where we take a trans-Himalayan mountain flight to Lukla (2,860m/9,383ft). Then we proceed to the Basecamp through some jaw-dropping landscapes and picturesque villages. After visits to the Basecamp and Kalapatthar top, we proceed towards Gokyo Lakes. The highlight of this part is our ascent of Gokyo Ri. From the summit, we gain superb views of Everest as well as the 8000 m peaks of Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. Love trekking? You HAVE to go to this trek atleast once in your lifetime.
