About this tour

This is one of the few treks in the Himalayas, that offers a spectacular view of the majestic Shivling, while it covers the Bhagirathi peak along with Kedar Dome which makes your journey a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Tapovan Nandanvan uphill trek offers an awestruck campsite at Tapovan, a high-altitude alpine meadow just below the magnificent Mt. Shivling. Throughout the trek, pine trees, green meadows, rough terrain, glacier traversing, and negotiating with the rocks add to the adventurous quotient of this most loved trek in Garhwal Himalaya, Uttarakhand. Our trek will start from the source of the holy Ganga, Gangotri, which always adds a sense of history to mountain lovers.

Difficulty:- Intermediate

There are some tricky glacier sections in this course, so a cushion of 3 – 4 treks will be beneficial in this category. Any prior knowledge of rock climbing is appreciated. Make sure to build up stamina in the months leading to the trek as the hike beyond Bhojbasa is quite steep.

Please note:- On the last day, you should reach Haridwar by 6-7 p.m. Make any plans for onward journeys accordingly.

Reserve day: If the buffer day is used, you have to pay us Rs. 2,500 INR per day. The money will be collected by the Trek Leader only if we use the buffer day. This depends completely on the weather conditions on the trek and the call will be taken by the trek leader.
