The most demanding high altitude pass trek consists of enough challenges, adventures to set your adrenaline at the highest level. This glaciated pass in Garhwal Himalayas connects Gangotri and Badrinath at over 6000 m. Offering magnificent peak panorama of Shivling (6543 m), Kedar dome (6808 m), Bhagirathi group, Kamet (7756 m), Abi Gamin (7355 m), Avalanche Peak (6413 m) makes this experience overwhelming and epic. Rough glaciers, rocky screes, crevassed snowfields mark this route as thrilling and it requires adequate knowledge of the trail, proper weather window, climbing skills as well to ensure safety. Enchanting beauty of Himalaya, contrasting green meadows of Nandanvan capture the serenity of this trek.
Difficulty: Extreme.
It is one of the toughest and most challenging treks in India. A cushion of 6-7 treks, some of them over 5000 m, will be helpful to understand the 100 km trail. Previous experience of walking over ice is a MUST. Knowledge of rope up, ace axe can make your journey smoother. Be prepared to witness dangerously beautiful glaciers in all forms and colours possible from rocky debris and black ice to blue ice.
Please Note:- On the last day, you should reach Haridwar/Dehradun by 6-7 p.m. Make any plans for onward journeys accordingly.
