Gigantic mountains all around, pristine high-altitude lakes, alpine meadows, deep forests, cute campsites, cozy homestays…all in one Trek! Dafeybir Trek is a highlight of everything Sikkim has to offer, cramped into a single, spectacular journey. Dafeybir Pass (4,530m) can be accessed via a few routes. The conventional route starts from Uttarey. One can access the trail via Nambu, Darap and Khechiperi too. We’ll take the route from the Darap-Yambong side. Our itinerary is designed in such a way that you’ll get to visit a maximum number of Lakes, have access to various vantage points throughout the trek and don’t need to return via the tiring trail to Yuksom. We also accommodated Bajradara in our itinerary so that you practically can tick off two treks in one go!
Max Altitude- 4004m / 13100 ft
Best Time- October, November
Reserve day:
If the buffer day is used, you have to pay us Rs. 1,800 per day (INR). The money will be collected by the Trek Leader only if we use the buffer day. This depends completely on the weather conditions on the trek and the call will be taken by the trek leader.
Day 1 pick-up time- 9 a.m.
On the last day, you should reach NJP by 4-5 p.m. Make any plans for onward journeys accordingly.
This is a probable itinerary. The actual itinerary may change depending on current situations, i.e., weather, trail conditions, health conditions of members, etc. The Trek Leader and Guide will take the final call.
Difficulty level : Intermediate.
Previous experience of trekking above 3500m-4000m is helpful. The trekker needs to be prepared to walk on various terrains such as scree, snow, and grass. This trek can be attempted by advanced beginners. A cushion of 1-2 past experiences will make things easier. Be prepared for long ascents and descents.
