The Bali Pass Trek, also known as “Yamuna Kata” by the locals, isn’t just a trek; it’s a gateway between two paradises – the enchanting Har-Ki-Doon valley and the sacred Yamunotri. This exhilarating journey winds its way through ancient villages, traverses meadows bursting with wildflowers, and finally conquers the Bali Pass itself.
Imagine standing at the pass, gazing upon the majestic peaks of Swargarohini and Bandarpunch Blackpeak as if they’re within reach. This breathtaking panorama is just a taste of what awaits on the Bali Pass Trek. Nestled within the Govind Pashu National Park, trekkers can camp beside the mystical Ruinsara Lake, a haven of tranquility amidst the Himalayas.
The ascent from the Ruinsara side is a straightforward climb, but the descent from Damini demands a bit more caution. However, the true adventure unfolds on the stretch between Devasu Thach and Ruinsara. Here, the landscape transforms into a playground for the adventurous soul. Prepare to be astonished by the dramatic scenery as you navigate this exciting section of the trek.
