Srinagar
Monsoon and Kashmir is a killer combo that attracts almost all kinds of travellers. When you’re ready to explore beyond the Metallic Roads, well, the rewards are boundless. Tarsar Marsar Trek, which touches the twin lakes and Sundarsar lake, is one of the finest trails in India. The quaint village of Aru acts as a picturesque starting point, but it gets better when you hit the trails.
The campsites on the banks of Tarsar and Sundarsar are heavenly. Then there is the thrill of crossing a pass (Sonamous) before arriving at Marsar Lake. Not so challenging on the legs, outrageously beautiful landscapes all around, just a week’s holiday to experience all of this. You can tell us many more reasons to do this trek after you experience it!
