Throughout 18 kM and an elevation gain of 1000 m, the trail unfolds alongside the Wangth River, through lush jungles, revealing up-close encounters with pine trees, pristine glaciers, and snow gullies. As you ascend towards Dumail, you enter the mesmerising Marchoi Valley, which lends it’s name to the trek, offering panoramic views of valleys and mountain ranges, including the majestic Harmukh mountain. The trek is a delightful mix of snow bridges, jungle walks, and frozen river streams, making it a haven for anglers seeking trout fishing opportunities. Max altitude: 3200 m / 10500 ft

Difficulty: Beginners.

Barring bone-chilling cold and lots of snow, there’s no such difficulty in this trek. First-timers can attempt. Any relatively fit person who wants to brave the cold can opt for this trek.

On the last day, you should reach Srinagar by 5-6 p.m. Make any plans for onward journeys the next morning.
